Summer Bridge at Quaker House
During July and August we will run Supervised play every week as follows:
Monday evenings from 6th July 7- 9pm: £10 drop-in.
Wednesday afternoons from 1st July 2pm to 4.15pm: £12 drop-in.
No need to book; just turn up and play, with or without a partner!
New Beginners Course starting in the Autumn!
Our new Beginners’ Bridge course will run weekly on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm for six weeks starting Tuesday 22nd September 2026. No need to bring a partner. Following this course, you can join the next level if you wish.
Come along and learn the world’s most fascinating game! Cost £100 for the course.
New Improvers Bridge course starts 16th September 2026 from 3.45 – 5.45pm for 10 weeks
This course assumes a basic knowledge of bridge, so is suitable for Improvers, or for those rusty players who would like a refresher of the basics.
The course is ten weeks long and the lessons will comprise a mixture of a theoretical teaching on Conventions and card play together with a chance to play and practice the skills learned with specially prepared deals. We also invite various guest bridge experts to teach a lesson to the improvers class during each term. Also included are consolidations and supervised play practice.
Cost: £140 per 10 week term (including half term break) payable in advance. Contact us to book a place.
New Intermediate Bridge course starts 16th September 2026 from 1.15 – 3.15pm for 10 weeks
Our Intermediate course is for those who can already play bridge and have some experience. The course is ten weeks long and the lessons will comprise a mixture of a theoretical teaching on Conventions and card play together with a chance to play and practice the skills learned with specially prepared deals. We also invite various guest bridge experts to teach a lesson to the intermediate class several times per term. Also included are consolidations and supervised play practice.
Cost: £140 per 10 week term (including half term break) payable in advance. Contact us to book a place.

Continuers Bridge course starts 14th September 2026 from 7pm to 9pm for 10 weeks
For those bridge players who can’t make a daytime session, we also run a weekly Monday evening ‘Continuers’ course. This is aimed at those who know the basics, or those rusty players who need a refresher, our Continuers course is taught by Stuart Watkin.
£140 per ten-week course. Contact us for further information.
- Note that if you can’t make a particular Monday, you can attend a Wednesday class for free. And vice versa!
