“I’ve been attending Quantum Bridge Teaching Club for most of this year and I have immensely enjoyed it. The club is friendly, sociable and welcoming. Any player of whatever standard, will be comfortable and find a course to suit them. I’ve learned so much about the fascinating game of bridge, and at the same time I’ve met new and interesting people. Debbie is a great teacher, patient and kind as well as very knowledgeable about bridge. Also very tasty teas, coffees and chocolate biscuits!” Tony
“I think the lessons are great. Very thorough and well taught. I’ve found the course booklets very helpful too. They’re clearly written and are a great reference too. Finally, and importantly it’s fun; I enjoy my Wednesday afternoons immensely”. Lisa
“The lessons I have attended so far have been informative, enjoyable and promote a lovely atmosphere that allows myself and other members to feel relaxed while learning the various aspects of how to play bridge. The booklets provided enable you to look up what you have learnt and the mini quizzes at the beginning of some lessons that go over areas that we have learnt are good fun”. Pauline
“I have wanted to learn to play bridge for several years and have attended classes that made it seem impossible. Gobbledegook comes to mind. Not to be deterred I joined Debbie’s class and not only do I enjoy the lessons, I am slowly but surely getting the hang of it. She is an excellent teacher. Patient, supportive and helpful come to mind. She makes it accessible. I can’t say easy because bridge isn’t, but possible. I strongly recommend these lessons to all interested in learning to play bridge or to renew a long lost skill.”

‘Debbie is an excellent teacher, with a friendly and relaxed style. She gets the blend of different learning methods just right: board instructions, quizzes and videos, with a good portion of the class given over to practise. The club is friendly, not too large and the venue works well.’

‘I have enjoyed my lessons here! Debbie is a really great teacher and we cover topics at a sensible pace, allowing things to soak in. I would really recommend this course to bridge players of all levels.’
“ I’ve been learning bridge since before Covid through lessons in town and joined Quantum Bridge Club over a year ago as a way of playing locally in Blackheath. Debbie’s classes far surpass my previous learning experience. Her teaching is clear and there is a lot of opportunity to practice what we’ve learned in the playing part of the sessions. Debbie follows the standard Acol bridge system, and I like that. It means I can look at bridge books and nothing conflicts with what I’m learning at QBC. The supervised play incorporates well thought through hands and plenty of assistance from Debbie and her team. I still have a lot to learn but I don’t ever feel embarrassed or that my questions are stupid. The teachers and other participants are all friendly and welcoming. I would encourage anyone who thinks they might like to try bridge – or to develop their playing – to come to QBC. “
